What we collect and why

By measuring our own websites and mobile sites, we aim to better assess what types of content and formats are interesting and useful to our visitors.

Our public digital media measured are: our website mydiapason.com and our blog mydiapason.com/en/blog in all their language versions.

Data collected automatically via our audience measurement solution

To carry out our audience measurement, we collect the following information:

  • Audience measurement information: this is data on the user’s browsing habits:
    • the type of browser used,
    • the number of pages viewed,
    • the exact navigation path that a visitor takes on the site,
    • the time spent on a page, or the whole site,

In the context of the definitions given by article 4 of the GDPR, we consider that all the data we collect is considered as “personal data” and as such we apply the same attention and level of protection to it.

The data you share

We collect personal data when our visitors explicitly provide it by entering information on the “Contact us” page or on other registration and contact forms on the Diapason websites.

This data is used for sales and marketing purposes.

  • If I explicitly provide personal data, how long is it stored? The personal data that visitors provide via a contact form is stored only for the time necessary to perform the function for which the data was obtained.
  • If I explicitly provide personal data, who can access them? Does Diapason share this data with other companies? Personal data collected by Diapason is neither shared nor sold to third parties. The number of Diapason employees having access to this data is limited. The staff is fully aware of the extreme confidentiality of this data.

Monitoring the performance of our communications

To measure and optimize the performance of our marketing communications, we track, for example, the following statistics on our newsletters and email invitations:

  • Open rate
  • Clicks
  • Unsubscribe rate

Users wishing to unsubscribe from Diapason newsletters can do so via the link at the bottom of each newsletter or by contacting us at contact@mydiapason.com.

We may also contact visitors whose data is stored in our databases to inform them about Diapason events, webinars and/or any product information we think you may find interesting (unless you unsubscribe to our communications).

Diapason may use reputable third party companies to provide the services or features listed below to visitors of its public sites. These services provided by our partners aim at improving the interactivity of our public sites and at allowing the sharing of Diapason content on social networks.

Retention period and storage

The audience measurement data (collected and processed) are kept for 14 months from the date of collection.

Piwik Pro guarantees that this data is hosted in the European Union.

Other data collected for marketing and business development purposes are kept for 3 years. All these data are collected directly by Diapason, are stored and processed in the European Union.

Your rights as an Internet user

  • Management of your consent
    You are free to manage your consent at any time. To do so, simply manage your consent via our Privacy Settings.
  • Unsubscribing to our newsletters
    To do so, simply click on the link at the bottom of each newsletter or contact us at contact@mydiapason.com.
  • Right of access, rectification and deletion
    You have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data collected as part of our audience measurement service. To exercise these rights, we invite you to contact us:

    To do so, you can oppose the processing of your personal navigation data via the Privacy Settings.
